My KinSo Health Story.
Amanda Shipton, Founder
Firstly thank you for looking up KinSo Health and I really look forward to speaking with you.
I am a professionally trained Kinesiology Practitioner (Cert.TASK) with The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology (TASK) and have a degree in International Business and French. My background is in project management, waste consultancy and environmental science from working in the nuclear decommissioning industry for the last 19 years. I am also a wife and a Mum of two young boys, ages 8 and 5 so I know the importance of keeping everyone well and happy! If there is any free time left I enjoy being outdoors, walking, running, horse riding and holidays and camping with my family.
My journey with kinesiology started about 20 years ago following a bout of food poisoning when on holiday in Greece. Almost overnight I went from being able to eat anything to becoming very sensitive to all foods to the extent that I didn’t know what to eat and everything seemed to upset my stomach. Having sought advice from my GP who was unable to offer little help other than saying I was obviously a bit sensitive, a friend recommended a clinic to me where I experienced some of the kinesiology techniques I use today. She was able to identify those foods which were stressing my body at the time. Over the years I went to see her regularly but symptoms and eczema would come and go. However I was always fascinated, and after having my second son I decided I wanted to know more. I also always like to learn new things and thought how wonderful it would be to use kinesiology for my own self care as well as the health of my family’s. From this point I have never looked back and KinSo Health was born!
Having discovered systematic kinesiology, my life and health has changed dramatically and over the years it has been so lovely to see friends, children and clients feel better and happier in themselves. I am a true believer in that your life experiences and the ups and downs along the way lead you along a certain path in life and mine is to facilitate people in their own healing and allowing them to move forward both emotionally and physically.
