KinSo Active - your ‘go to’ treatment

I really can’t do it justice in describing how all encompassing kinesiology is to assisting with active or sports training programmes. Because kinesiology is a holistic treatment, it goes deeper into supporting the body. Specifically I look at identifying any imbalances in the body, so that these can be identified and addressed in order to assist clients to work on improving and fine tuning their performance. If you take the car analogy, we always try and ensure it has the right fuel, sufficient oil and water and all systems are working in tune with each other, otherwise the car may just limp along or at worst break-down!

How often do we as individuals seek help for physical symptoms after they have occurred, such as for ligament injuries, tight hamstrings etc? Sounds familiar?! By having regular kinesiology sessions, or as I like to call them if again using the car analogy, ‘MOTs’, we can help ourselves to stay balanced to prevent symptoms or injuries occurring in the first place?

I work with individuals not only on their physical symptoms but also on maintaining and assisting in their improvement programmes looking at optimum performance. Regular kinesiology helps clients to maintain balance in the body and when we have this we can perform at our best. My approach considers physically and energetically balancing the body, assisting the lymph drainage system and identifying any nutritional support that may be required, whether that’s in to the system or what may need to come out. Even more power, I work with clients to look at past experiences and mental issues that may be holding back their performance which may simply need unlocking to help them move forward and make that step change.

Don’t just take my word for it, feel the difference kinesiology can make as part of your training programme. Here’s what one of my client’s has to say…

There’s No Looking Back for Damian!

Damian Lai, aiming to complete 100 marathons, turns to KinSo Health as part of his training regime.

Damian Lai at the 2022 Southampton Marathon.

I am a very keen runner, with my main target being to complete 100 official marathons! I am well on my journey by completing 45 but have another 55 to go!! Back in 2018 following the removal of my appendix I was struggling. I was physically exhausted and felt drained of energy, I was suffering from excruciating back pain, which was hampering my running, but I was also suffering with digestive issues which was affecting my daily life.

I was advised to go for a Kinesiology treatment, so I visited a local practitioner, Amanda Shipton at Kinso Health. I must admit I was very sceptical at first, but I had reached the end of my tether, I had visited an osteopath and a physiotherapist to treat my back, but it was not improving so was willing to try something, anything, different. After my first treatment I was recommended some natural supplements to further support the imbalances in my body (I was physically exhausted) and I was really surprised with the results. In a short space of time I started to see the benefits of Kinesiology.

I found that I was full of energy which have given me many performance benefits to my running. After 7 years of running, I am still getting personal best times for my marathons and my times have significantly improved over the years, I have improved my time by 1 hour and 20 minutes on my road marathon time.

Kinesiology has helped me manage my digestive issues, my back pain, and the imbalances in my body. I’m now a regular for treatment visiting every 6 weeks or so and with some lifestyle changes and strength and conditioning exercises I am happy with the performance improvement I have seen and confident about me reaching my 100-marathon goal.
